Clever
How you can Protect Yourself from such Attacks

Kamkar says there is no easy fix for users, though you can avoid such attack by always:

• Setting your computers to hibernate rather than sleep that suspends all processes on the computer.
• Closing all web browsers every time you walk away from your computer.
• Patiently clearing browser's cache.
• Using full-disk encryption applications (for e.g. FileVault 2) in combination with "deep sleep" mode.
• Or, simply disabling your USB port.
Well, as usual, AHK to the rescue. In an effort to be a bit green and prevent my browser from keeping the CPU active, it would also protect against this attack in locked state.

Just to give you some perspective... The “r/the_donald” is supposed to be a thread to support Donald Trump but instead is full of vitriol regarding anything Hillary Clinton. Most of the highest up-votes posts have little regard for the truth and include conspiracy theories and misinformation. Unfortunately, many of the posts also include bigotry and blatant racism.

From the article... The modified posts in question were in regard to the “Pizzagate” conspiracy that alleged that Hillary and her campaign chief were involved in a child abuse ring operating out of a pizza restaurant. In many of these posts, Steve Huffman was accused of trying to cover it up or was involved in some way. Steve Huffman did not change the meaning of the posts. Instead, "he simply redirected abuse targeted at him to the moderators of the 'r/the_donald thread'".

What Steve Huffman did was stupid. He shouldn't have done it. But just imagine what YOU would have done if people were spreading misinformation about you on a widely-read public forum over and over again. And then imagine that the "misinformation" was that you were pedophile and you supported other pedophiles? Just some perspective.

NORAD tracks santa

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NORAD_Tracks_Santa

NORAD Tracks Santa is an annual Christmas-themed entertainment program, which has existed since 1955, produced under the auspices of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).
Every year on Christmas Eve, "NORAD Tracks Santa" purports to track Santa Claus as he leaves the North Pole and delivers presents to children around the world.
The program is in the tradition of the September 1897 editorial "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus" in the New York Sun.
