the entire time Firstdata did business with accenture I actively accused them of intentionally screwing up the process. I kept getting told these are the big guys in this business. No i am not surprised by this article. No i am not surprised that such an unsuccessful company that can scam the government time and again also scams corporations that have never made a profit.

Some time ago, I tried speed reading technics. I found for myself that too much or too low speed of reading lowers comprehension. So for me, works something in the middle for best comprehension.
I like idea of learn2spritz.com to making words in the middle red. It really speeds up reading speed for me.

I was studying eye movement for web design and programming a couple weeks back..
This site touches on similar physiological aspects that were covered in the course.

I am a speed reader i peak in novels around 800 words per minute. I think of it as page encryptions. I don't see letters often i don't see words but phrases. I don't attempt digesting the content. it goes straight to the memory banks and really kind of ignored till i need to think about it. Now i don't have the kind of recall i had when i was younger but never could I tell you what page something happened or recite word for word from memory. I agree reading slower actually lowers comprehension. It is counter productive to process information before you have it all.

I guess I would say I'm a speed reader too (think a 700 page novel in one night), though maybe not quite as fast as you. However, I have to be completely focussed otherwise I get distracted and my pace drops down to almost nothing. However, a distraction-free environment can be hard to come by. Oh, and I have to enjoy what I'm reading too.
