Winamp shutting down December 20, 2013

First Blockbuster and now Winamp. What is this world coming to? And I was just considering the Pro version...

The last time I used winamp was something in the 90s ^^

For me, it's a nostalgia thing. Winamp was the first "cool' music players that I found. When I started to use AutoHotkey, I discovered that most of the program's functions could be controlled via the SendMessage command. I've been hooked ever since. I will probably continue use Winamp for a few more years before I move on to something else. I'm just not sure whether to update to the last (small tear) version before calling it a day.

im not alone. incidently i plan on discontinuing icq and AIM support within the forum profiles. isnt AOL officially dead too?
wait aol owned winamp. i guess the whole napster thing more or less killed the winamp market share

Tomorrow is the last day. No word from AOL about any changes to the shutdown date, responses to petitions, open source, etc. I downloaded the latest version just in case I couldn't get it later. My current version works fine so I may or may not install it.
