Links to get your synapses sparking
I starting this thread in hopes to inspire or to be inspired. To empower a person with knowledge and to be empowered with knowledge is how we humans evolve. Collaboration of ideas is how the most wonderful ideas emerge.
So regardless of what role you would like to play today, it induces forward thinking.
Post a link or click a link it could very well spark a world changing idea. Anything is possible.

I have been told that I suffer from A.D.H.D. In reality it is just a different way of thinking. Please post something that you think is interesting so I can focus my A.D.H.D. and inspire others.
Cheers!

This is a fun thread!
Here's my contribution:
I am a scientist with very little artistic talent who uses Excel every day and this blew my mind the first time I saw it. This artist uses Excel to build sumptuous canvases/spreadsheets! You can even download some of his Excel spreadsheets and verify for yourself!

Re: Links to get your synapses sparking
Thanks for such good links and this is exactly the vibe I was hoping to accomplish. Very quick responses too!
3d model with one picture and human input. One more example of how one day we will all be artist in some shape, way, or form.

Kon, great find! I am going to see if I find those to listen too tomorrow while I work.
Cheers!
You say that now. I once had that mindset. If someone told me 3 years that I would be able to 3d model, graphic design, and do photography I wouldn't have believed it. We have the ability to 3d model in our mind but some of us can't get it to manifest into a object to be displayed. Your link is a real good example on how some clever use of code/software to help people communicate their imagination.lblb wrote: "I am a scientist with very little artistic talent"

I really like http://neave.com/fractal/
It's not about how humans evolve. It's not even a text. It's a fractal zoomer.
But it's inspiring IMO and gets the "synapses sparkling".
I hope it's not too offtopic.

Re: Links to get your synapses sparking
I think this is a real good example of the power of html and java. The "out of the box thinking" to me is a part of evolution. One idea can change a lot. It's context depends of the receiver of the information.. I am learning html, so this is right up my ally.Alibaba wrote:I really like http://neave.com/fractal/

What would be off topic something like Miley_Cyrus twerking. That made me die inside just a little. FFS !
This thread restores some of the hope for humanity I lost when I had seen that.
Cheers!
BTW I found this there! http://neave.com/
That is cool!

Re: Links to get your synapses sparking
I got some more links. Really good info on the design of interfaces here.
I found a video analyzing Blender's user interface. Which if you not familiar with Blender let me explain. Blender is probably one of the most powerful opensouce projects hands down. Unfortunatly the user interface is extremely confusing and causes other problems. Which could range from retention of user base and acceptance as a professional standards.
The important part is not that it is about Blender but these 2 videos go over basic fundamental principles of user interfaces. Which can be applied to all software development. One thing that can easily set your software apart from others.

Part 3 is not out yet but when it is I will post it.

The Why is sound so imporant?
This is a post to help you get perspective on how powerful a tool sound can be. It is really incredible how sounds can alter our thought processes, creative processes, moods, health, energy, and a myriad of other biological functions. People take "medications" to relieve systems that could very well be easily replaced with some well engineered sound scapes. These "medications" that relieve stress, anger, fear, insomnia, A.D.H.D.and anxiety can be habit forming, costly, lethal in some cases, and most have a list of negative side effects.
Dramitic Chipmunk
without sound
with sound on Youtube
It is crazy how that sound bite makes a difference.
Rain = Sleepy?
Does sound of rain make you sleepy? If it does not I am sure you have meet at least one person who say's it does. So what can a well engineered or custom tailored rainfall sound bite do for you?
Rain Sounds with Crickets 2hrs "Sleep Sounds":Youtube video.
RainNoiseGenerator
My personal favorite preset for the RainNoiseGenerator is "under the leaves".
Soothing Crying babies
Losing sleep with a crying new born? You may be able to soothe their crying with sounds of the womb.
InUteroSoundGenerator
It works for at least one baby YouTube Video.
You Mad Bro?
I can personally say that I have made some bad decisions in my early life because of anger, anxiety, sadness, fear, and stress. To approach a situation with cool, calm, and collective mindset enhances your chances of a more favorable outcome. I personally like meditation but there is rarely a chance I can be able to successfully meditate. So this helps me out a lot.

This post is getting long so I will stop here for now.
I hope this helps.
