How to show mobile icon as hard drive instead of portable device?

09 Aug 2020, 09:10

Hello..

Is there any way to show mobile icon (when I attach mobile to pc via USB cable to transfer files etc.) as hard drive instead of portable device?

please look this-

In the above image you can see that when i attach my mobile to pc it shows mobile as portable device rather than hard drive, hence it causes problem in retrieving full path of internal or external storage of mobile phone.

please look this-

In the above image you can see that it is showing incomplete path of DCIM folder in internal storage of my phone. So, i am unable to do so many tasks with DCIM folder as I have no full path of this folder.

Please help me.
Thanks a lot..

Have you tried to click in Explorer's address bar to copy that path from there? Adding "...\DCIM" to it afterwards shouldn't be much of a problem?
Another option, marking the path that is displayed as location at the DCIM Properties dialog and copy/paste it (you need to add DCIM to the path as well).

Thanks dear BoBo for your reply, but, Computer\realme 3\Internal shared storage\DCIM is not the correct/uniform path of DCIM folder. when I attach my mobile to the computer and run this path by run command-

Code: Select all

Run, Computer\realme 3\Internal shared storage\DCIM

Then it shows this error-

However in Explorer's address the same path is shown of DCIM folder. please see this-

Erm, it's tricky. You might end up with something like this: https://www.mtpdrive.com/features.html
OR that https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.clearevo.mtp_alternative&hl=en.
While I'd go with this: https://sourceforge.net/projects/libmtp/files/libmtp-win32/0.3.5-win32-1/libmtp-0.3.5-win32-bin.zip/download

PS. for 'standard' CLSID related stuff you can tweak the registry to offer a one-click conversion option: https://www.winhelponline.com/blog/show-full-path-explorer-address-bar-special-folders-windows-10/
Dear BoBo I have tried all methods mentioned in above links but nothing is working for me. I just want to get the full path of my mobile's folder so that i can use commands like FileCopy and FileAppend which requires full path of specific folder for file. Please help. Thanks..
