Has anyone else received SPAM from [email protected] to their autohotkey.com forum profile e-mail address? I used a unique e-mail address when I registered for the old forum, and it was only ever used with this web site...

No i have not! Spammers often use lists of great size witch may have already had your email in it...

I just got one today, gmail filtered it into Spam folder. I use that email for a lot though

I am sorry that my message was not clear. I created an extremely unique new e-mail address only for registering at the old forum on this web site. I have never used that e-mail address for anything else, ever. I am wondering how the e-mail address could exist on a list, unless the list came from this web site...

Just saying that it was possible for it to exist in a list already even though it is very unique...

I also just received RuneDream spam! Was in my Spam folder this morning but not to an email I used for Autohotkey in anyway...

Maybe its possible because they use wordlist and combine them with all email providers.

well, I got one, too. Yesterday, for the first time.To the email address registered here and at the other forum.

This doesn't necessarily mean that they have been leaked at this moment, or that they are currently being leaked though.

Jackie has confirmed he recieved the same spam to an email address never used for autohotkey. its just spam people

anotherautohotkeyusr, you say you received spam on an account used with the old forum? What was your username?

Edit: Never mind, I assume it was anotherautohotkeyuser.

Thank you very much for the link jNizM. I am pleased that the culprit was identified so quickly, and that there were no nefarious actions by this sites administrators.
