Could someone tell me the difference or show a webpage that shows the differences between AHK and AHK_L? Right now, I have plain ahk and I can't tell which version I have, but it is rather new.

So we're trying to promote this forum to make new users use it instead of the old one? If that is the case, someone should at least make a post on the old AHK saying that it is no in use anymore with a link to this site.

Oh, so AHK_L is the version 1.1, not something completely different.
thanks

I think we can leave a message in the old forum, when this forum is fully built and functional.
Of course there are no major bugs now, but we still have some little issues and maybe it would even better to move the forum once the autohotkey foundation is founded.

Additionally, the poll in the old forum is still running and there is (theoretically) no final decision. But of course the poll shows clearly, that the majority prefers to move.

Guys I want to throw my 2 cents:

I think that the story is repeating. Like when autohotkey split from autoit in the past, this is a milestone for the evolution of ahk. What about leaving the old basic version to polyethene and cut with the past changing name and recreating the community? We have the lead developer working on autohotkey_L and autohotkey 2, we need a new name, a foundation as stated elsewhere in the forum and to start from the ground to rebuild the community.

I think that with a complete cut we can erase all the confusion originated by the autohotkey versions and the forum will be cleaner, without cross-version request. Our scripting language will be unique. Maybe growing slowly, but we should think in perspective.

What do you think guys?
