@GeekDude
Sorry, but I'm not with you...
I dont know why a change was needed. It runs well like it was.

Lets wait to hear an explanation. Perhaps it was a mistake.

Submitting a reply takes me to a 404 page, but the post did go through..

I'm really sorry! It is my fault, i upgraded the forum, just some kinks I gotta fix, it is currently under boards3 because of weird bug, I did at 3-5am this morning, I didn't want affect anyone... I had no more time... I backed up everything, it's basically just the boards3 that is causing problems, and simply moving to boards/ didn't work... I'll definetly figure and fixthis out tonight! Terribly sorry... :(

The forums works well, it's just the boards/ redirection with boards3/

An update was due, it is the first part of the process, as I said, the update was supposed to be quick and silent, smooth, which is... Relatively :P everything works, it's just the board3/ issue... I work till 8 pm Montreal time... So I'll fix this tiny issue, I already know of a simple temporary fix... Which I'll put when I get home, as said, i am terribly sorry for this ... but I'll fix it asap

Thank you for your patience... :(

changing to this ugly theme as default is hardly silent :)

you should make an announcement a few days prior to doing something like this, so at least people are prepared..

I don't know about the "weird bug" joedf mentioned, but I've put a temporary url-rewrite in place to get /boards/ working.

I also can't stand prosilver. I wasn't able to find subsilver2 for phpBB 3.1, so I've installed something else as a temporary alternative to prosilver. Users should be able to select 'Simplicity' within the user control panel, under Board preferences, global settings.

I understand if we upgrade to Mybb or other advanced forum engines but what is the benefit to upgrading to version 3? Maybe it is better to roll to previous version for now? After make customisation to Mybb and upgrade to it? We dont have to hurry to change forum engine, it is better to customise first and then upgrade.

It's true personally I don't really like Prosilver either... :P

Should I simply revert everything?

I won't say no, but keep in mind what will happen to every post since the upgrade. Not all of the posts have been complaints about the forum...

I wouldn't call that an "upgrade" or say that Mybb is "advanced". It is better in some few respects but not all. For instance, the notification system in Mybb is not very useable. I didn't see any compelling reason to switch while I was testing it.

In that case it is better keep this upgrade and modify it to our needs.

First of all we need better theme. Theme is most important part.
Also please install that mode: https://github.com/DavidIQ/phpBB-ReIMG-Image-Resizer
In advanced message post window there was an option to select color for the text. Is it possible to add that to new forum?

I think the code boxes are more important, but anyway:
