I second Meerkat. It's cute. :3AfterLemon wrote:I like Meerkat.
A group of meerkats is called a "mob", "gang" or "clan".
Meerkat: Macro Emulation Environment Reintegrating Keyboard Automation Tool
Definitely a mouthful, but I like the simple name Meerkat.
Then I was thinking about the early html days there was HoTMetaL which included html in the word.Or we could go entirely different. Lots of professional programs have seemingly random names, or clever names slightly related to their program.
Chrome, firefox, pidgin, blink, python, avast, blender, etc
We could do something similar, not a typical (and IMO, overused) acronym or abbreviation that spells out a word. Think of a random fruit, animal, veggy, location, inanimate object, profession, ancient dead person, whatever.
why are you being an idiot on purpose? why not just tell them the truth, that you are using AutoHotkey?Guest wrote:I am kindof digging Meerkat. When someone asks me what I'm writing my tools with I just say AScript++ but google leads them nowhere. Gotta do something here soon...
Well I write automation scripts, GUIs, and site diagnostics; not hotkeys. If R&D devs hear I'm writing hotkeys for everything, I'm going to be in trouble, idiot.guest3456 wrote:why are you being an idiot on purpose? why not just tell them the truth, that you are using AutoHotkey?
yep, some people are just retardedmetacognition wrote:Hey now, guest3456 is right, you can't intentionally tell people the wrong name and then complain that nothing comes up when they google it. I think that was his point.
xD I like that. But what if people think that it is scam?AfterLemon wrote:Scam
