Hi there, I am physician working in a radiology group. I would like to use AHK on our computers at work, but our IT security team needs two forms looked over and some questions answered by AHK to assess for security risk. Is there someone from the foundation that can help me and take a look at these forms?

Perhaps @joedf or @tank can help, or lexikos - depends on what you need.

Generally, AHK is open source, and the whole source code can be inspected on github: https://github.com/Lexikos/AutoHotkey_L. You can compile it yourself, if you wish.
I am not sure if we should give any guarantees exceeding AHK's license agreement, though. (Most likely, no.)

I see, I understand that being-open sourced it's very different form private licensed software. If someone could take a look and fill out what they can that would be great, otherwise I might have to discuss with the IT department alternate strategies.

We don't have to use email...you can attach the forms to a post. Here are the steps:

• Click Full Editor & Preview button (below the Quick Reply box)
• Click Attachments tab (under comment box on left)
• Click Add Files button
• Browse to the file and click Open button

You may attach up to three files to a post. Regards, Joe

The forms have information regarding our work place setting so it would be ideal to not post it publicly. Other than that, it's just a set of questions for the "vendor". Hopefully this works with you...

The AHK foundation managers joedf, tank or lexikos can contact you via your registered email address, I guess, or send you a PM (but you can't use that feature yourself at the moment).

That would be great. I think AHK would benefit a lot of us here (some with carpal tunnel) but the nature of big institutions is the security risk, hence the forms. I'll check my email/PMs!

i dont think it matters much which of us does it. I just am familiar with certain concerns at an organization level so its just comfy for me to answer.

Okay, I'll forward them to you in the future then. Some were a bit cryptic. Most I've had so far just needed to confirm 1-2 simple questions.
