[Gist] Alternative interfaces to gist.github.com

Post by hoppfrosch » 27 Jan 2014, 07:09

For those who use gists to store sourcecode, I want to mention 2 alternative interfaces:
  • Gisto - standalone tool (to be installed locally)
  • GistBox - WebInterface
Both of them offer a sexy interface - and allow the gists to be tagged ....

I personally prefer Gisto (at least at the moment) for two reasons:
  • Standalone Application (no need to have web browser open ...)
  • Tags are stored in gist description (using Hashtag (#) as prefix) - therefore tags can be easily exchanged ...

I used Gist plugin for Sublime Text but Gisto seems a better option.
