This one is pretty good, not entirely up-to-date with the website screenshots/address but gives a good first impression (imho)
Let's help each other out

If you preferred another option from the beginning, you wouldn't have gone through and commented on every detail of another option. Now it's put in place, so there's reason to look at it more carefully. I personally would have left the original homepage or used yours. I like the simpler look like the Google homepage.joedf wrote:I feel like nobody ever really took a look at blackholyman's design at all... It's been the same video since the beginning... And would start talking about the details of it ..now?
Anyhow... If you have a preferred option, please post suggestions.
Great suggestion. Very positive about AHK, and gives a nice intro and overview of the language.ahk7 wrote:This one is pretty good, not entirely up-to-date with the website screenshots/address but gives a good first impression (imho)
OK. All good. Sorry for taking it the wrong way.metacognition wrote:@Boiler, lighten up dude, my comment was meant in the most light-hearted way possible. It wasn't a personal attack. I have nothing but love for this great big AutoHotKey Family, truly.
There is nothing wrong with complaining, complaining is constructive!
@joedf, I think we all have nothing better to do today than hang out on the AHK forums. Haha.
Cheers
metacognition wrote:Complainers, the video is not ideal, so why don't you make a better video and send it to joedf!
Make your own testimonial video... I've thought about it myself.
It's all good, I too think we should make a promotional/introductory video. However I have no skills in this regard.metacognition wrote:Jesus, okay I take it back, not "complainers". That was the wrong word, it was tongue-in-cheek to address multiple people above. I should have said "constructive criticizers", or "fellow ahk coders", it was just a suggestion that we make our own kick ass video for AHK.The enthusiasm has now been sucked out of me. Thanks.
The vote shows the winner got 43%, and your design did get votes (as did leave it as is). How is that unanimous? It's not even a majority.joedf wrote:The vote for this design was unanimous.
Great!Xtra wrote:I have already asked jackie aka blackholyman if its something he could or would be willing to do.
If he is interested in doing a video or has one already he will post here.
PSA Be thankful for the talented people we have around here.
thanks yep hahaguest3456 wrote:joedf's design was cleaner in my opinion but i dont mind the blackholyman design. at some point you just gotta go with what you have
ok... Yes... What was the point of saying that? :'( just feels you're attacking because you want to. Anyhow... first, the poll is still open... Second, if you normalise "I like pie" out... It's 23/41 instead of 23/53. So yes it is a majority... A 56% majority. :/boiler wrote:The vote shows the winner got 43%, and your design did get votes (as did leave it as is). How is that unanimous? I'm not arguing about it, and I'm not attacking. You said it was unanimous so we shouldn't be critiquing this design since everyone chose it instead of yours.joedf wrote:What was the point of saying that? :'( just feels you're attacking because you want to. I didn't mean unanimous so literally. :p i dont see why we should even be arguing about this...
