This one is pretty good, not entirely up-to-date with the website screenshots/address but gives a good first impression (imho)

If you preferred another option from the beginning, you wouldn't have gone through and commented on every detail of another option. Now it's put in place, so there's reason to look at it more carefully. I personally would have left the original homepage or used yours. I like the simpler look like the Google homepage.

Let me also say that nothing I say is meant as a negative towards Blackholyman. He is great for the community and has a great design sense, as evidenced by his website among other things. I just had some specific thoughts about parts of that page.

@Boiler, lighten up dude, my comment was meant in the most light-hearted way possible. It wasn't a personal attack. I have nothing but love for this great big AutoHotKey Family, truly.

There is nothing wrong with complaining, complaining is constructive!

@joedf, I think we all have nothing better to do today than hang out on the AHK forums. Haha.

Great suggestion. Very positive about AHK, and gives a nice intro and overview of the language.

Jesus, okay I take it back, not "complainers". That was the wrong word, it was tongue-in-cheek to address multiple people above. I should have said "constructive criticizers", or "fellow ahk coders", it was just a suggestion that we make our own kick ass video for AHK.The enthusiasm has now been sucked out of me. Thanks.

It's all good, I too think we should make a promotional/introductory video. However I have no skills in this regard.

joedf's design was cleaner imo but i dont mind the blackholyman design. at some point you just gotta go with what you have

ok... Yes... What was the point of saying that? :'( just feels you're attacking because you want to. Anyhow... first, the poll is still open... Second, if you normalise "I like pie" out... It's 23/41 instead of 23/53. So yes it is a majority... A 56% majority. :/

I'm not arguing about it, and I'm not attacking. You said it was unanimous so we shouldn't be critiquing this design since everyone chose it instead of yours.

Finding a decent video that pleases everyone won't be easy - so why not get rid of it and replace them with three or four short rotating examples to illustrate how easy it is to get started with AHK - many other programming language homepages have this, examples below:
