slow forum, duplicate posts, replies

whats going on?
checking new posts - slow
opening unread topics - slow
posting quick replys - slow
posting normal replys - slow or duplicated

on 3 occasions today i saw duplicate threads having been posted, so i doubt im the only one affected

Yeah, we got more duplicates in a day than otherwise in a six months. It seems the server work yesterday broke something.

So apparently that server work was a database upgrade, but was not complete and things were reverted back. I just did a reboot as suggested by tank.

Edit: This last one was actually reasonably fast Let's see. Edit 2: seems better right now...

Actually, it's still pretty slow (when approving posts, and sometimes when submitting posts), although not necessarily timing out.
