Can I receive a weekly email on new & updated messages?

I would like to receive a weekly digest email on all new and updated messages in the last week. I cannot seem to locate such an option. I can receive an email every time a new message is created, but that spams my inbox with so many messages. Does a weekly, or even daily, digest option exist?

What I did in the past was use the RSS/feed links and use them with something like TheOldReader to get a sort of a digest.
