@lexikos Maybe it's something you changed but the version number doesn't show up in the blue Download button.
Version number in Download button
Re: Binary downloads are 404
thanks its most likely the result of server changes recently. Since ahkscript.org is plain old http and autohotkey.com where the version file is is https. I will fix it before the end of the weekend if lexikos doesnt beat me to it

Re: Version number in Download button
I split the topic. As I said in the other topic, the issue was that the files hadn't been uploaded. This is obviously a different issue.
This issue is a result of moving the downloads to autohotkey.com. I had put a symlink in place so that ahkscript.org/download/ still shows exactly what it did before. This works just fine for viewing the download page and downloading files, but I've found that PHP is unable to follow the symlink outside the directory for the ahkscript.org virtual host. I have since removed the symlink and put a proper redirect to autohotkey.com. (This does not solve the version number problem, and is not intended to.)
I really don't see the point of showing the version number after the user clicks the download button, so I have simply disabled it. When we move the home page to autohotkey.com, it can be changed to display the version number more prominently.
There is very little reason to visit ahkscript.org now. /boards/, /docs/ and now /download/ all redirect to autohotkey.com.
@tank: It should have been reading the version.txt file directly, not querying via http/https. Also, it would not have been querying autohotkey.com.

Re: Version number in Download button
I think this issue can be addressed with a new fresher & simpler design.
