This is a wish:
When I log in, I see only one TINY, subtle indication that I am logged in. And, that is that the LOGIN icon has changed to a LOGOUT icon.
For those of us over 50 who hate icons, this is annoying. (Yes, we have to learn... they are taking over the world!)
I think it would be nice if somewhere on the page it tells me I am logged in. MORE IMPORTANTLY: If I have multiple logins--(is that possible?)--the way it is now, I can not tell to which account I am logged in.
thank you

Re: Login indication
Why would you even need multiple accounts?
I can only see potential uses for Spammers and Trolls.
I also disagree with the Login indication thing.

Re: Login indication
I am neutral on the login indication as long as it is non-distracting.
As for multiple accounts, what is the motive?

Re: Login indication
If it showed your user name you would also know that you are logged in.
Re: Login indication
It does show that you are logged in by showing completely different icons. You can also change the style in your ACP, to make the difference greater.
You only seem to care about the fact that you need your name to be displayed.

Re: Login indication
If you mouse over the "generic person avatar" icon (between the envelope and the (?)), your name will appear as a tooltip.
Working with that, anyone who needs their name displayed constantly can probably use javascript to do that (there are javascript manager addons such as Scriptish or Greasemonkey). Maybe the tooltip can always be turned on, or the value of the tooltip can be retrieved and then put into a new text element created by the javascript.

Re: Login indication
If you apply the following CSS to the forums (via an extension such as Stylish), it will show your username instead of the icon.
Code: Select all
.navbar .nav-tabs .account .nav-link {
text-indent: 0;
width: auto;
}
.navbar .nav-tabs .account .nav-link:after {
content: '';
}
