@joedf: My bad. I thought I authored this topic.

Yay!! It works for me now. And, as to the GREEN BORDER: I like it VERY MUCH. It really makes the chosen answer stand out NICELY.

Does it?

The post still contains the green check icon and the text that states "Topic is Solved".

its fine on simplicity, maybe tone down the border a bit, make it the same shade of green as the checkmark, but thats about it

You cannot please everyone. I am happy with anything - "ugly" is not category I would follow, it is subjective anyway (I like the green box, for example). Only if something is not usable or readable, I would invest much time. But you decide.

I don't mind the border as much as I mind the background  .
It is not important for me though, if people like it, I don't want to take it away for my benefit.

Cheers.

- I use Simplicity style, and the only difference for a solved post, versus a regular post, is a white tick in a green box, which I like. Actually, that's true only in Internet Explorer. I just tested in Chrome and the solved posts look like the one in swagfag's printscreen, and it looks absolutely atrocious (well, a little bad, it could be better). I would scrap the solved post's colour change to green, and possibly the border too (I'm 50-50), the border thickness seemed OK though.
- [EDIT:] A darker border might look better as swagfag said. I tested MS Paint (Windows XP)'s dark green RGB(0, 128, 0), that looked alright! I don't mind especially.
- I didn't particularly like the old archived forum approach which coloured the entire post a queasy green.
- Unfortunately, a change was made recently to the button used to mark a post as solved, a white tick in a blue box, to a green tick in a blue box.
- Haha we/you try our/your best, there are dozens of small-scale decisions, and I'm pretty happy with everything overall. Thanks for your efforts. Cheers.

Thanks guys :)
So how about simply a border for the dark digi theme? as I get the green contrast is little weird in this case...

Just a border would be ok, I guess.

Hi joedf,

Thank you for all you do for AHK! I like the new SOLVED box on the answer, except the green shading makes me feel a little queasy and its harder to read the chosen best answer even on my giant 27" monitor because of the shading. So maybe just tone it down a bit by making it more transparent..? ;p

I think just the border would be easier on the eyes and is a good compromise.

I can no longer find the green check mark Icon to mark a topic I have authored as SOLVED.

Does it still exist?

I can not figure out how to Mark SOLVED my latest post.

It is (and was) only available in certain forums, like 'Ask For Help'.

In other forums, like 'Bug Reports' eg, it is reserved for staff members as an organizing tool - although it might not get used much
(in the case of bug reports, lexikos will mark them solved, when he is done with the topics).
