dont get the impression that i dont want noise n staticcwhen things dont work well. nor do i expect ppl to just take my word. keep me on my toes. hold me accountable. its all good

Hallo, ich habe seit Wochen versucht, mich hier im Forum anzumelden, inzwischen mit 3 unterschiedlichen eMail-Adressen und Benutzernamen, aber nie eine Bestätigungsmal erhalten.
Auch meine Mail an den Forumadministrator blieb unbeantwortet.
Gestern habe ich es über GoogleMail versucht und siehe da, das klappt.
Anscheinend besteht weiterhin ein grundsätzliches Forumproblem beim Neuanmelden?

Hello, I have tried for weeks to register here in the forum, meanwhile with 3 different eMail addresses and usernames, but never received a confirmation time.
Also my mail to the forum administrator remained unanswered.
Yesterday I tried it via GoogleMail and lo and behold, it works.
Apparently, there is still a fundamental forum problem with the new registration?

Nachtrag; Habe jetzt versucht, über die Profileinstellungen die eMail Adresse von GMail auf ein andere umzustellen. Dann kommt der Hinweis: „Die eingegebene eMail-Adresse wird bereits verwendet“. Das hängt sicherlich mit meinen Registrierversuchen zusammen, auf die ich keine eMail-Bestätigung erhalten habe.

Addendum; Have now tried to change the eMail address from GMail to another via the profile settings. Then comes the hint: "The entered eMail address is already in use". This is certainly related to my registration attempts, on which I have received no eMail confirmation.

The same with me. When I visit the page again for the first time after a while, the loading speed is good. As soon as I have been in the forum for 2-3 minutes and clicked on various subcategories or topics, it then loads slowly (3-7 seconds for the page to load). It seems to me that there is a "ddos" protection active that slows down the user when he clicks a few links. But this should not be for registered (or longer registered) users. If then rather something for guests.

But that would be counterproductive for admins, mods, helpers and power users.

I think we do have that, but it's not on for active users (since time registered, etc.) and staff.
@tank would be the one to confirm this.

I don't mean the 'punishment for too much activitiy' which seems to be still active even for registered users. Here using FireFox 93.0 (32-bit) every 3 through 8 minutes one arbitrary page fails to load after waiting for more than 10 seconds. After a refresh everything is working fast again for a while.

@just me Hmm, interesting... I'll keep an eye out for this. I am also using FF v93.
