I made this script to make using vim + tmux easier.

Ha nice.

I'm learning VIM right now actually. But I'm training myself to use CTRL + [ instead of Esc

You could change line 13 to chars := StrSplit("abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz[")
Then you'd be able to use Capslock + [ instead of CTRL + [

I don't have a problem hitting CTRL. I reach my left thumb all the way under. Its more difficult training my pinky to never miss the [

I know a lot of vimmers like to remap CAPS to Esc directly.

But vi was designed on this keyboard (note the HJKL arrows and Esc in Tab location)

Anyway, incase people are wondering, this script seems to send Esc when the CAPS key is pressed by itself. But when the CAPS is pressed with another letter, it sends Ctrl+letter. There are some alternative scripts here:
