broken configuration installation

22 Jan 2024, 17:30

A fresh installed (Not a portable version) copy of Scite4AutoHotKey is broken. Just downloaded and installed s fresh copy of autohotkey and sciteautohotkey but got the following error on first run :

Code: Select all

>"C:\Program Files\AutoHotkey\AutoHotkey.exe" /ErrorStdOut "C:\Program Files\AutoHotkey\SciTE\TestSuite.ahk"
'C:\Program' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
>Exit code: 1 Time: 0.1389
it broke after the first space even though it is enclosed within double quote.

Any suggestion/direction where to look into this problem for fix please?

Check if AutoHotkey.exe is actually present in C:\Program Files\AutoHotkey\

Also potentially relevant (if you are using AHK v2): https://www.autohotkey.com/scite4ahk/pages/ahkv2.htm

Yes I am trying for V2.

I re-organized my autohotkey executables and made them available everywhere.

Currently, my Directory structure is :
C:\Program Files\AutoHotkey\

Code: Select all

    |----Compiler
    |----|--Ahk2Exe
    |----SciTe
    |----|--v2 # ahk V2 executables here
    |----V2
    |--------Ahk V2 Executables.
@gregster
V2/auto hotkey executables were available at first.
As you pointed, AutoHotkey.exe was missing, and I fixed it.
Copied the same folder under SciTe as it generally requires under same folder.

Same issue persists.

Afaik, when I used AHK v2 last year with SciTE, I left v2 completely in the v2 folder but had to select which version to use in SciTE:
