Re: trouble setting password
You have to recompile AutoHotkey_H with your own password first, see: https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=62308&hilit=compile+ahk_H

Re: trouble setting password
followed all the steps. spent way to much time on making sure i checked all the right boxs. i tried to change password with same amount of characters as a test. too abcd12345. although after being compiled it wouldnt allow me to use that password, only the default password, it gave same error popup when tring to run my exe.
Re: trouble setting password
If it is the same length, only this line needs changing.
Make sure you select the newly compiled exe/bin File when compiling with Ahk2Exe!!!

Re: trouble setting password
i change the last line only. but didnt know what to do next in the visual studio program to save the changes. in the ahktoexe script i selected the new ones initially created by the visual studio. does it save changes instantly?
the original password is AutoHotkey correct? so i changed to abcde12345, both 10 characters. i then pressed save at the top. the ran cleanup again. then selected the new ones in ahktoexe.

Re: trouble setting password Topic is solved
i figured it out, i guess its kinda obvious once i thought about what visual studio was doing. but im a complete noob to visual studio. i needed to rebuild and cleanup again after changing the password.
so if step 2 was after step 1.2 then it would of worked. basically make the changes then build it. thanks so much for all the details and all those that made the videos to make this possible !!
