Intro to AutoHotkey Udemy course

I recently completed my Intro to AutoHotkey Udemy course.
This course covers the "basics" and is meant for Noobs.
BTW- I purposely left-in the mistakes / errors to help people learn how to troubleshoot. While I love Lynda.com courses, I don't like how they make everything appear "perfect" thus
1) make you feel incompetent when things don't work right and
2) Leave you helpless not learning how to troubleshoot.
Anyway, I hope it helps people learn the basics. Hopefully in a month or two I'll work on some intermediate courses.
I've created a discount code which sells the Intro to AutoHotkey course to forum members for $9.99
Here are some reviews. Currently it has a 4.21 out of 5.
It was value for every penny. I am glad I stumbled on this tutorial that allowed me to have very structured training that otherwise would have been me in a no man's land trying to connect dots having no clue. So yeah, thanks to Joe for being such a good instructor and I wish him best for future tutorials. Cheers. --Amin M.
Great course, I already use AutoHotkey a bit but have learnt a lot, Thanks -- Maurice O.
Nice job Joe. I learned a lot about what is possible with AutoHotkey. The examples and demonstrations were also very helpful. -- Dale W.
So far, so good. Not breaking much new ground here, but it's nice to go over and solidify some things I already knew or thought I knew (or should have known). -- Chris N.
As someone who has been using AutoHotkey (AHK) for a couple years now, I can say that for someone who has just discovered AHK and is new to coding in general, this course is a great place to dip your toes in. Joe doesn't go deep into the intricacies of the topics, but he does provide enough information to get you started on understanding how the different aspects of AHK work and how you could apply this to your scripts. Even if you have been using AHK for a while and haven't done any formal courses on it, this course is a great way to check your knowledge and fill in any gaps that you may have. -- Leigh G.
I'm using AutoHotkey for nearly 17yrs. Joe has created an amazing course and btw is a key contributor at the AutoHotkey-forum. Well done! --Bill S.
I discovered AutoHotkey and used a day to learn about HotStrings through Google searches and program documentation. I scan my paper statements every month before shredding them. Naming them is tedious so a simple script was created. At the end of my day down the rabbit hole with AutoHotkey I discovered this course. My attitude going in was that I may have wasted my money since all of this information was available through Google. Wow, was I wrong. This course distills the essentials from hundreds of pages of online documentation into something that is easily understood. The examples given are clearly explained and illustrated. It would have taken me many frustrating days to learn what is in this course on my own. Great job by the course creators, it's informative and concise, BTW, I am 70 years old with some computer experience. I am a volunteer who updates websites for local, small nonprofits. What I learned in this course will save me many hours of repetitive typing. Well done! -- John K.
This course got me up and running for a task at work! Having never used (or even heard of) this program before I was able to put it to use right away even before finishing the course. -- JT K.
excellent class and very informative. surely improves productivity and make the work on computer exciting and playful. -- Tom M.
Great course! The explanations given are easy to understand and precise. I highly recommend this course. -- Jeff J.[/color][/b]
