Interfacing with an online bank page?

I’ve never used AHK to work with web browsing before so by all rights consider me a complete n00b for my post.
I’m tired of paying for Quicken, and I just wonder if I can get the same functionality out of either Excel or a whole AHK script. I’ve written for Excel before, but wasn’t sure that I could download transactions as either a screen scrape or just grab and import the CSV file from a secure website.
Has anyone tried this before and been successful at it? On the surface it seems doable based on some of the Forum Posts that I have read, but I don’t think those dealt with HTTPS.
