Re: pls help me with this...
Run your script as admin and consult the value of ErrorLevel after the command (set to 1 if there was a problem or 0 otherwise).
Hope this helps.
Hope this helps.
Re: pls help me with this...
Your first post said the location was a sub-key of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. It's not in the LOCAL_MACHINE (system-wide) hive.neosickle wrote:someone pls help me? i am using windows 7
Your second post got the correct hive, HKEY_CURRENT_USER, but indicated the setting was a string (REG_SZ). It's not, it's a DWORD value, i.e. a binary switch with an ON and OFF state.
It also said the sub-key is IE DEV TOOLS. It's not, it's IEDevTools, i.e. with no spaces.
So you could change your code to:
Code: Select all
RegWrite, REG_DWORD, HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\IEDevTools, Disabled, 0
Code: Select all
RegWrite, REG_DWORD, HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\IEDevTools, Disabled, 0
(PS - Many people will avoid threads with generic, non-descriptive titles like "pls help me with this...". It's obvious you need help, because you're posting in the 'Ask For Help' forum. Perhaps consider a more descriptive title, e.g. "RegWrite not working as expected" or "RegWrite - what am I doing wrong?" or something similar that gives users an immediate clue what your thread is about?)
Hope this helps...
