Help With Windows Media Player (WMP)

28 Oct 2013, 08:26

i would like to customize this outstanding script from the other forum to play MP3 files from a defined play list and keep track of them by creating a list of songs already played so that it never plays a song more than once while shuffling (random-playing) through the MP3 audio files in the play list. :ugeek:

So what are you asking? A lot of people are willing to help, but nobody is willing to just custom make code to suit a request. The desire to learn has to be genuine.

i am genuinely desirous to learn. :ugeek: i would like to add some code to this existing script so that it plays from a list of songs and at the same time keeps track of them so that it will not repeat any of those songs again while shuffling (playing randomly from the list) until all songs are played out. :geek:

for those who can read code like ABC, which function in this script allows me to play a specific song in a given list (either by name or by any other means but it has to be a specific song from a given list)? i could not correctly identify this particular function. :ugeek:

Please use spoiler tags while posting code. It becomes hard to navigate with such long code.
The line you're looking for, I guess would be wmp.controls.playitem(pl.item(track-1))

could you offer a specific example using wmp.controls.playitem(pl.item(track-1))? let's say the song path is M:\song.mp3. :ugeek:

Sorry, it will take me some time to figure out the COM magic behind this. Until then, could you please edit your posts to put the code in spoiler tags ?
