Hotkey doesnt work in different programs

Hello AHK community,
I am a total n00b here and have been trying to figure out how to make the hotkey [Ctrl]+ or [Ctrl]+[F] work normally outside of the program I intended the hotkey for.
i.e. in the app that I have it setup to work it works great, but in Chrome the [Ctrl]+[F] doesnt work any longer. It simply does nothing.

Yes, I have done this but the problem is that even with context sensitive hotkeys those hotkeys DON'T work in other programs.
