Need help

13 Jul 2019, 21:47

I have tried to make a script and am failing horribly at it. I am not very good when it comes to things like this. I am trying to make a script to where, when I press right shift it will automatically keep shift held down until I click it again, so basically toggleable right shift. I do realize they have sticky keys but for what I am trying to achieve it keeps getting disabled constantly. Is their already a script for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

PS. If this is not the correct place to ask such a thing can you please point me in the right direction.

Hello,

If it is a CAPS TEXT THING, why not just press caps-lock?
If you have another use for it, let us know then, keeping the key pressed might trigger other SO functions such as "sticky keys".

This is not for a caps lock thing, this is for a certain game that has a shift left click drop feature. Also it would not affect anything else as sticky keys are disabled.

Ahh... ok :)

https://www.autohotkey.com/docs/Hotkeys.htm#Symbols
Look for "UP", and you will find the "DOWN" as well.

Try this:

Code: Select all

*RShift::Send % "{Shift " ((i:=!i) ? "Down}" : "Up}")
You will be able to toggle shift-down/shift-up with the right shift key.

Glad it worked :bravo:

I can relate to that... Took me nearly 3 days to find out how to do stuff that i now can do without even thinking about it.
We all start somewhere :mrgreen:
