Entering data into website fields using AutoHotkey

20 Aug 2019, 09:05

Hello,

What is the simplest way to enter data from a spreadsheet or CSV file into website fields?

To illustrate, suppose you have several hundred records which each contain seven data values as follows:

1 First Name
2 Last Name
3 Birth Year
4 Birth Month
5 Birth Day
6 Phone
7 Email Address

And suppose the records are contained in a spreadsheet or CSV file with the following format:
____ | ColA | ColB | ColC | ColD | ColE | ColF | | ColG
Row_ | First | Last | Year_ | Mth | Day | Phone | | Email
|
Row 1 | Jack | Rose | 1950 | Jan | 11 | 8888888888 | [email protected]
Row 2 | Pete | Pane | 1955 | Feb | 12 | 7777777777 | [email protected]
Row 3 | Mark | Penn | 1960 | Mar | 13 | 6666666666 | [email protected]
Row 4 | Wink | Roby | 1965 | Apr | 14 | 5555555555 | [email protected]
...
And suppose you have a website page which contains seven corresponding fields and your objective is to move the data from the spreadsheet/CSV file into the website.

What AutoHotkey script would accomplish that most simply and efficiently?

Thanks

"ALOT" is not a word. It never has been a word and it never will be a word.
"A LOT" is 2 words. Remember it as though there's [A LOT OF SPACE] between them.
