Hi,
I have four scripts running to generate four systray icons. I would like these systray icons to be displayed in a certain order. Unfortunately, it seems I cannot find a way to enforce that order.
Normally, Windows 10 allows you to reorder tray icons at will. But strangely, the multiple AHK icons seem to be linked in a weird way, although each of them is generated by a separate AHK instance. One way to see this is that you cannot individually move them into the overflow menu. Either they all are displayed, or they all overflow.
Similarly, you cannot reorder them into an arbitrary order. Sometimes, when you want to move an icon one step to the left (say), then it will jump over all the AHK icons and make three steps, etc. They somehow interact with each other.
Even when I do get them to be ordered the way I want, Windows will not remember that for the next launch.
They are NOT ordered alphabetically, NOT by order of when the script got launched, NEITHER by order of when the script generated the icon. I tested all that, where the test for the last point was to first run the script with "#NoTrayIcon", then sleep for some time, then make the tray icon appear.
I am very confused. I cannot find any pattern to this. Any ideas?
Thanks a lot in advance!
