UDP Multicast

13 Feb 2020, 16:45

Anyone who can help please,

I need to send a UDP message (only 3 characters) to a multicast address of port 41000, the 'receiving' system is an Arduino board, and it is already receiving UDP multicast messages on that address sent from another system.
As far as I understand it, the Socket.ahk include file only handles TCP communication.

At the moment, I am using 'PacketSender' from a 'Run' command in AHK, (this is working OK, but slow) but would prefer to use a UDP socket class within AHK.

Is there way to send UDP multicast from AHK?

Thanks for any help,

 Socket.ahk :?: (AFAICS, it contains UDP as well?)
Please post your outcome here once you were able to accomplish this task/challenge. Thx :)
