My ugly GUI
Re: My ugly GUI
No code, no Gui.
Re: My ugly GUI
Well you will not see much.
it's a standard GUI.
But here is my code
I just need an example of a nicer GUI with an edit box (so I can adapte it).
Thank you in advance.

Re: My ugly GUI
Entering a number for a choice is a very non-GUI approach to selecting among a list of items. Take advantage of the fact that the user can just click on their choice by using radio buttons instead. It would be easier for the user and more foolproof as the user can’t enter an invalid choice.
Re: My ugly GUI
Well, not knowing what that Graphical User Interface is for makes it kinda waste of time pushing boxes from left to right or top to bottom. Besides the fact that it might make sense to use alternative Gui controls to make it less error-prone (what boiler has already mentioned).
Re: My ugly GUI
This is a gui just for me.
So I am foolproof ; or the only fool in the room is me
And it's easier to me to put a number with a keyboard than to move the mouse around...

Re: My ugly GUI
As said, to create/design/re-adjust a Gui without knowing what exactly it should trigger in the background (AKA "What the hell the Gui is for - and what's that '8'-thing all about??") makes no sense 2 me. And this Gui does nothing. Entering a value won't change anything bc the variable won't be used afterward - well, at least the Gui collapses if you press 'next' or 'exit'.
Re: My ugly GUI
Well every option is a different text manipulation from a file.
And the 8 is the default option (search inside a file and show the finded result) because I use it 99% of the time.
The variable from the GUI is used like this : CHOICE := MyInputBox()
And after that, depending of the option I do all the search/replace/update in the file (well a variable with the help of FileRead)
