Detecting Chrome notification box

09 Aug 2020, 13:07

I have a Chrome extension which pops a box up when a website finishes loading (see attached image). I am trying to detect if that window is active with a simple piece of code to display a message box if the window is active. But when I use Windows Spy it shows up as the same information as Google Chrome itself. This is the simple code I have;

if WinExist("ahk_class Chrome_WidgetWin_1")
msgbox hi

But since the Windows Spy information is the same for the main Chrome window itself AND the extension popup it messages all the time.

How can I detect if my little box is active and display a simple msgbox ?

With Window Spy, does it show the pop up as having a title?
