I have found a script that is close to what I want to do using a barcode scanner, in the script the following variables are mentioned “Preamble & Postamble” they are linked to function keys F11 & F12. I think that this is programed into the scanner to place before and after the scan as a flag to the script. I have a scanner and in the manual but Preamble & Postamble are not mentioned but there is reference to Prefix & Suffix my question are they the same and do the same functions??
