Autohotkey like function for Linux

I'm looking for a tool to send keystrokes in gui / web apps in Linux particularly long passwords like "#LZq&0loX874H2019#2019#" that have to be entered many times a day. I can do most things I want with the shell but I am stuck with web logins.

Any ideas people?

If password entry is your main need, then I'd say KeePass or LastPass would be better choices (coding your passwords inside of a macro program is not!). The former can run under Linux (see below), and the latter runs inside of a browser (mine is Chrome).

I had a bit of trouble installing Keepass, but the following was a great help:
