Missing Former Scripts

* Can anyone say why it is so difficult or impossible to find scripts that have been written * Are they lost ?* Is there a complete repository of previously written scripts ?* There were so many scripts contributed to AHK but they are nowhere to be found *

Most scripts that were posted directly on these forums (since September 2013) and/or on github should still be available. There are certainly scripts which were hosted on the now defunct domain autohotkey.net (2013 or earlier). They were all lost after a hack, as long as no one re-posted them. See for example, these collection of "lost" scripts which reappeared: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3216

In the old archived forums, people also regurlarly used 3rd-party hosters which might not exist anymore or deleted the data after some time. Other people might have decided to delete their own scripts, for whatever reason.

Many of the old scripts are outdated, though. And most problems have been solved again and again in the meantime. Just ask, if you are looking for a specific script. Often, people can help, either by re-posting the old script, or by pointing you to a better alternative.
