Just updated the script in the OP to version 1.05, which I'm pretty sure has fixed the crash! It uses HICON: instead of HBITMAP:* (and the * was a mistake, too).

I'm working on the event reminders now, which probably won't be too long coming.

Nice i just updated i had a problem when i forgot to include the gdip.ahk it went on an endless reloading spree and spammed me with windows

Ah, that's useful to know, thanks (and sorry). I think I'll just copy and paste the few functions I use from the gdip.ahk library into the program itself. It doesn't need most of it, and it should avoid those hurdles as well as keeping the file size down.
