Well, recently, i was often around when the spammer showed up. So, if my "luck" continues, yes, I would be willing to help. I cannot expect other people to do things that I wouldn't do...
It would probably be good to have a few more people around - until we have a better solution.

Edit: But only if there is a secret handshake involved

@tank: all I put in there was exactly what was in that post. It triggered it when I tried to preview it.

@joedf, what email address do we use for whitelisting our IPs? EDIT: Editing works here, but not in "Ask For Help."
EDIT 2: I was able to post a follow-up in "Ask for Help", including a zip archive and an animated GIF. Out of pure paranoia, I used "dee ell ell" instead of you-know-what and "you are ell" instead of the-other-you-know-what. Seemed to work.
EDIT 3: Now able to edit in "Ask for Help" again. Haven't dared to try the Preview command.

But I need the ip at the time of the post so I can query the firewall rules. In this case the paste pastebin is equally helpful. I will be working today but I will track it down this evening

Explain what happens. perhaps it is content related. have you tried pastebin to show me the content?

After some seconds, Firefox gives me a blank page; Chrome gives me a 500 error.

I don't know what you mean by "pastebin"; would you please explain, or give me a pointer?

I was thinking that the problem in this topic might involve message size, or quoting, or use of BBCode in general, but a bit of testing (messages here which I've deleted) seems to rule them out.
