Why Should I Switch to AHK v2?

I love being on the bleeding edge of technology and using the latest and greatest version of a software.
But why would I want to use AutoHotkey v2 over AutoHotkey 1.1 which works amazingly?

Advantages of v2: More consistent syntax, higher performance, more error checking and reporting when you do something wrong
Disadvantages of v2: Still in development and may change in the future

pros: streamlined, historical idiosyncrasies pruned, faster to write scripts with, more powerful/flexible constructs, potential for the introduction of even more powerful features(not a feature dead-end like v1 is)
cons: little to no v2 compatible libraries

Thanks for the input! Anything you can tell me about the improved performance?
Also is AHK 2 feature complete when compared to 1.1 does it — in it's current state, have all the same features as AHK 1.1?
