ANSI v2
ANSI v2
When can we expect ANSI v2? Or, how to build it by myself?
Re: ANSI v2
I have no interest in maintaining ANSI compatibility in new or modified code. Building for v1 is just a matter of opening Visual Studio (with C++ desktop development toolset; any version from 2010 up should work), selecting an "mbcs" build configuration and choosing to build. Building for v2 would require fixing some new code to be ANSI-compatible. I will be removing those build configurations, but that change could be reverted via git (or you could just change project settings) without much trouble.
If you don't have the know-how to do that, you may have to rely on another volunteer. Anyone with interest could hypothetically maintain an ANSI build.
v2 will not build on 2010; it may require 2019 or may work with earlier versions.
