+1 I suggest we should do it. I have notified the staff about this.

also, http://ahkscript.org/foundation/ - under, "Who manages it?"
The foundation's managers are Charlie Simmons and Steve Gray with guidance from Chris Mallett (the creator of the software "AutoHotkey").

I like Meerkat.
A group of meerkats is called a "mob", "gang" or "clan".

Meerkat: Macro Emulation Environment Reintegrating Keyboard Automation Tool

Definitely a mouthful, but I like the simple name Meerkat.

I don't think so.
AHK is a serious language that Help both people working, and people using their PC in any other way.
Meerkat is not a serious name compared to AHK, completely skipping a part of AHK.

I still like AHK++
Also tidbit had a good point (page 4 last post):
Or we could go entirely different. Lots of professional programs have seemingly random names, or clever names slightly related to their program.
Chrome, firefox, pidgin, blink, python, avast, blender, etc
We could do something similar, not a typical (and IMO, overused) acronym or abbreviation that spells out a word. Think of a random fruit, animal, veggy, location, inanimate object, profession, ancient dead person, whatever.
Then I was thinking about the early html days there was HoTMetaL which included html in the word.

So maybe a word that includes AHK in the word (and in that order).
I went to findtheword.info and did a search for the pattern *A*H*K. (I didn't put a * at the end)

Here is one: AnytHinK
Some others:
AtHinK
AutHenticK
AftersHocK
blAckHawK
cAsHbacK
cAtsHarK
eAgleHawK
flAsHbacK
jAyHawK
mAtcHsticK
mAtcHbooK
scrAtcHworK
tomAHawK

Although I still like AHK++

I don't know, whAddayatHinK?

I am kindof digging Meerkat. When someone asks me what I'm writing my tools with I just say AScript++ but google leads them nowhere. Gotta do something here soon...

why are you being an idiot on purpose? why not just tell them the truth, that you are using AutoHotkey?

Well I write automation scripts, GUIs, and site diagnostics; not hotkeys. If R&D devs hear I'm writing hotkeys for everything, I'm going to be in trouble, idiot.

Hey now, guest3456 is right, you can't intentionally tell people the wrong name and then complain that nothing comes up when they google it. I think that was his point.

But I do understand the reluctance to say "AutoHotKey". I wrote a great program for a group of radio stations couple years back I remember one guy went nuts over it and asked what is was written in, I told him "AHK" and provided a link to the AHK download page. Point being I felt like saying "AutoHotKey" undersold the worthiness and potential of the code. Now'a'days I don't care, "AutoHotKey", "python", "PHP", "node.js" I just tell it like it is. Whatever gets the job done is what's best for that job.

At least you're not telling them it's written in P.O.O.P., try googling that.
