artificial intelligence and machine learning resources

19 Apr 2019, 15:32

Here are some collected YouTube videos and channels for AI/ML.

I'm yet to look in detail at writing code for AI/ML etc, however, there are resources for this, recommended by (the YouTuber) Code Bullet, lower down.

People are most welcome to post any AI/ML-related video or non-video links, especially any that helped you to write code or that are just generally interesting.

People might be interested in listening to Dr. Joscha Bach (MIT Media Lab and the Harvard Program for Evolutionary Dynamics). What's fantastic about his work and lectures, is how he breaks down the way that the brain functions, in a combination of neuroscience and computer science.

Code Bullet is great I really like his videos.
This one is bout the possibilities of Evoltionary algorythms to simulate the walking of creatures.
It could be used to create smoother/livelier movement animations.

Andrew Ng is arguably the best teacher if you want to start learning AI and machine learning. Just type Andrew Ng Machine Learning Lectures or something similar and you'll find a series of lectures that are easy to follow. Of course, you'll need to get a good book to go along with the online lectures(Introduction to Machine Learning with Python from O'Reily is my personal recommendation).

As for courses, you can find courses on Edx. Just take the audit track and study the material from world class instructors for free. If you feel that getting a certificate would help you, then you can always pay to get a certificate too.

As for the use cases of AI and machine learning, the sky is the limit (outer space is more like it!). From talking robots to nano medics, chat bots and live chat app, self driving cars and autonomous drones, the future is certainly bright for AI and ML, not to mention that AI related jobs pay a pretty penny.
