Yes, but I still sometimes get an annoying delay

Re: Slow forum
@joedf Thank you. In the few minutes I have tried to access the site, it seems to be fast and responsive.

Re: Slow forum
I thought it was fixed as well, however, it is doing the same thing to me as before. I went into a forum section with a lot of posts I haven't looked at and started opening them up. After about a dozen or so, it started getting sluggish - taking between 5 to 10 seconds to open and then another 5 to 10 to back out and refresh the screen.

Re: Slow forum
Agreed. After opening a bunch of posts (i was more like 2 dozen here) it pauses 5 seconds to open each post.

Re: Slow forum
It is repeatable. Gave it a rest since the last post above and then was able to open 14 posts before it bogged down. At first only 4 or 5 seconds, but each subsequent opening and closing took progressively longer.

Re: Slow forum
As far as I remember, tank used to apply some artificial slowdown if you opened a certain number of pages in less than two or three minutes. Or smth like that.

Re: Slow forum
My experience seems to be consistent with an "artificial slowdown" of ~5 sec. I did not experience a lengthening of that slowdown period. I had not experienced that before (but I typically do not open that many post one after the other.)

Re: Slow forum
Ah, that could be it. During the last test I only opened a half dozen or so after the slowdown and it may have just been my perception that each took longer, but not more than a second or two. It certainly was not as bad as before. Perhaps the artificial slowdown somehow affected the attack mode and made it virtually unusable.gregster wrote: As far as I remember, tank used to apply some artificial slowdown...
I sometimes tend to go through a lot of messages quickly because I've usually already read the bulk of the content and I'm only reading the latest post - which is often just "Thank you". Now that I'm aware of that, I'll only speak up if the situation differs significantly. Cheers.

Re: Slow forum
Seems to be working well here in the Seattle area. (Though I haven't tested the "30 posts in 30 minutes" thing LOL)

Re: Slow forum
Thanks for the feedback, not too sure what was causing the sluggish behaviour...

Re: Slow forum
Unfortunately, the forum is very slow again for me. Not always, but mostly - since at least a day.
I regularly get Connection timed out - Error code 522.

Yes, recently it has been much better than yesterday.
