That's a really cool statistic. Very well put together. I have a co-worker who loves 2 spaces and actually wants us all to convert to it in our php code. After reluctantly agreeing to it, I must say I'm quite happy with it. Though, at the end of the day, I could care less- as long as everything is consistent.

Congrats on the 4k posts btw. I bet this place is your home page, isn't it?

tabs aswell. any decent editor lets your choose the tab width, so set it to the space count you prefer (2? 3? 4? 823?). then you can easily share your code and it'll look good on anyones pc if they use tabs too. It'll match their preferences automatically. No need to have everyone change their style (or re-format thousands of lines) to match the amount of spaces the 'boss' prefers.

haha! sweet. I don't think I'll ever use this, but it's pretty neat. Repo says he's been working on it since 2013. lol

Tab(set to 4 spaces) to indent & space to align for me. Looks good in any other editor regardless of whether tab is set to 2, 4, 8, or n spaces. Although, I tend to follow the language's(or project) convention(e.g.: Python=spaces, JS=spaces etc.). :)

python and JS know that spaces is the only way to go

and I dislike OTB style too, but don't really care too much about that either way

Ideally, for AutoHotkey(should AutoHotkey have a styling convention), OTB-style(or similar, with the opening brace on the same line) should not be used since commands like Loop, Parse ,,, Loop, Files ..., etc. do not really allow the opening brace to be on the same line. To have consistency across the code, Allman style(or similar), is the way to go. I used Allman style earlier this year but switched back to K&R style recently. For AutoHotkey, C#'s style/naming convention seems to be the most suitable, IMO.
