GUI Inventory safe to excel file

14 Apr 2016, 16:04

Hi guys,
i was wondering is it possible to create some sort of Inventory in GUI where you insert a value and push on save, that it will save it in excel without opening the excel file?

For example:

Crystal: 23 Wood: 321
Diamond: 12 Iron: 232
Gold: 7 Stone: 100

the Gui reads what's in the excel file (unless it's a new file), so that i know how much i have of those things and when i change the value in the Gui and push save, that it would change it in the excel and save it.

i understand you have to do COM.

Greetings.

Doing COM would still create an excel instance - though it could be hidden. You might be better off writing to a CSV file, which should open by default in Excel.

Oh ok. But with CSV, it still opens the file?
