I must sadly say, I think AHK, AutoHotkey, lacks in the "hotkey" department.
- No anykey
- doesn't work in a lot of games (can't be helped, atleast not without some advanced stuff)
- no support for stuff like: key & key2 & key3::
- no built-in stuff for double clicking (or triple, quad, etc) and detecting them
- etc.
All FAQs.
So I think the name shouldn't contain "hotkey" (HK in AHK)
but instead be something else.
- AutoMacro
- AutoAutomation
- SAW - Scripting & Automation for Windows
Or we could go entirely different. Lots of professional programs have seemingly random names, or clever names slightly related to their program.
Chrome, firefox, pidgin, blink, python, avast, blender, etc
We could do something similar, not a typical (and IMO, overused) acronym or abbreviation that spells out a word. Think of a random fruit, animal, veggy, location, inanimate object, profession, ancient dead person, whatever.
So, we make scripts. Scripts.... scripts.. Maybe some poet or writer (not necessarily a famous one) name?
Banana! it's the color of homemade paper (scripts). and a fun name.
other.. too lazy to think right now.
rawr. fear me.
