Camera and printer producer Canon has run into the situation where it has to send printer cartridges out without its usual collection of chips.
As spotted by Mario W on Twitter, this means Canon is producing ink cartridges without what he refers to as "copy-protection measures," and is starting to contact customers about a fix.

Rolls-Royce sales are booming in large part due to the devastation of the COVID-19 pandemic, said the CEO of the ultra-luxury car brand.

"Quite a lot of people witnessed people in their community dying from COVID, that makes them think life can be short,
and you'd better live now than postpone it to a later date, that also has helped [Rolls-Royce sales] quite massively

Android apps on Windows 11

https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2022/01/26/a-new-era-of-the-pc/
https://tweakers.net/nieuws/192496/eerste-grote-windows-11-update-voegt-ondersteuning-toe-voor-android-apps.html

In June of 2021, Microsoft announced at the Windows 11 presence that the new operating system will support Android apps for the first time.
We then learned that the apps can be found in the Microsoft Store, which will integrate with the Amazon App Store.
All apps from Amazon's store will automatically run on Windows 11.
Although the stable Windows 11 update has been available to users for a while, you still can't download Android apps on your PC.
Microsoft is now announcing in a blog post that everyone can try Android apps on Windows 11 from next month.
The public beta of this feature will start in February, but it is not yet known when it will start.

Android apps on Windows 11
I wonder if Android apps running freely on Windows is another one of those devious moves by Microsoft that has more to it than most would think. Seems a bit strange to be proud of a competitor gaining an even stronger foothold on your platform. There has been some debate about the possibility of replacing the Windows OS with the Android OS (like Android x86- https://www.android-x86.org/). But, it will take more support to more optimize it for a greater desktop experience. Perhaps Microsoft is making sure to cut off any such possibility, where Android apps work so well on Windows that people forget about the Android x86 project or anything similar.

Add to that, Microsoft might also be gambling that .NET MAUI (which so happens to be coming out soon too) and .NET 7 will allow Windows C# developers to more easily write apps (which is relative to one's perspective) for both Android and Windows. Thus, eliminating any advantages of primarily Android/Java/Kotlin developers.

@joedf, the reason I posted this is because githubstatus.com was reporting that it was up, when it was not, although it did report issues with pull requests.
