Not quite right for 10 digits Garry, you have one too many digits, (the left 8 shouldn't exist in the answer. Due to the two digits from 10 being introduced, it causes the left 9 to become a second 10 and the left 8 to become a 9)
So for 10 digits:
1234567900987654321.

It just starts getting messy after 9, due to double digits being introduced causing the left side of the sequence to fail.
Still interesting to know up until 9 though.

Twitter & Musk > charge $19.99 for the new Twitter Blue subscription
------------------
https://www.theverge.com/2022/10/30/23431931/twitter-paid-verification-elon-musk-blue-monthly-subscription
-- Twitter is currently planning to charge $19.99 for the new Twitter Blue subscription.
Under the current plan, verified users would have 90 days to subscribe or lose their blue checkmark.
Employees working on the project were told on Sunday that they need to meet a deadline of November 7th to launch the feature or they will be fired.
With the help of Tesla engineers he has brought into Twitter as advisors, he’s also planning mass layoffs aimed at middle managers and engineers who haven’t recently contributed to the code base.

After enduring days of lock-in at Foxconn's vast facility in central China with 200,000 other workers, Yuan finally climbed the fences on Saturday night and escaped the complex, joining others fleeing what they feared was a widening COVID outbreak.
He walked through the night, keeping to a northerly route, towards his hometown of Hebi, every step taking him farther away from iPhone maker Foxconn's Zhengzhou plant, the Taiwan-based group's largest in mainland China.

The world's largest iPhone factory in central China told staff on Tuesday (Nov 1) it would quadruple their bonuses if they remained at the plant after scores of workers fled a COVID-19 outbreak at the facility.
China is the last major economy committed to a zero-COVID strategy, persisting with snap lockdowns, mass testing and lengthy quarantines in a bid to stamp out emerging outbreaks.
Taiwanese tech giant Foxconn's plant in Zhengzhou has been under lockdown since mid-October, with the company saying it is testing employees daily and keeping them in a closed loop.

The affected cars have problems with their power-steering assist system when driving on rough roads or after hitting a pothole.
The issue would leave drivers without the assistance to move the steering wheel with the help of the electric technology,
forcing drivers to use a lot of force to move the steering wheel and increasing the likelihood of crashes

... about BASIC

---------------------
https://paulallen.com/Futurist/Microsoft.aspx 1975
-- PaulAllen - Microsoft
....
Then Paul typed “PRINT 2+2” and the machine responded by printing out the number 4.
Never had the printing of one digit been so monumental; from that moment on, Paul and Bill’s lives would never be the same.
They started Microsoft together, on April 4, 1975 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

-- Kemeny & Kurtz - The Invention Of BASIC
....
-Who invented Basic?
-Bill Gates?
-No.
There are even some, its real inventors included, who say that he was the man who ruined the language.
Basic is a language that was invented for the sole purpose of making programming as easy as it could possibly be
and the argument goes that the Basics that we have all come to know have abandoned this goal in favour of trying to look like other languages.
But to understand this argument you need to know about Kemeny and Kurtz the true inventors of Basic
---------------------

---------------------
https://www.dartmouth.edu/basicfifty/basic.html 1964
-- BASIC Begins at Dartmouth
BASIC logoAt 4 a.m. on May 1, 1964, in the basement of College Hall, Professor John Kemeny and a student programmer simultaneously typed RUN on neighboring terminals.

---------------------
https://www.gocertify.com/articles/who-invented-the-computer-john-g-kemeny-and-basic
-- GoCertify Article: Who Invented the Computer? John G. Kemeny and BASIC
...
From there, BASIC expanded into private industry with versions being written for the various computer manufacturers, including IBM and Hewlett-Packard.
In 1975, two enterprising computer buffs, Bill Gates and Paul Allen, wrote a commercial program, Altair BASIC, and sold it to hobbyists for $150 per copy.
Altair BASIC was Microsoft's first consumer product.
Unfortunately, the price was so high that it led to the first widespread case of software piracy as users obtained and ran unauthorized copies.

(The rampant piracy ultimately led directly to Gates' angry Open Letter to Hobbyists.)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/An_Open_Letter_to_Hobbyists

John George Kemeny opened up computer programming to the masses.
Not everyone was happy with BASIC and how it opened computer programming to the masses.
Its most strident opponent was the influential computer scientist Edsger Dijkstra who claimed in a 1975 essay that it was impossible
to teach good programming to students who had been exposed to BASIC, stating, "As potential programmers they are mentally mutilated beyond hope of regeneration."

In spite of Dijkstra's tirade against BASIC, countless individuals have used the program as a springboard to successful careers in programming.

Kemeny is generally believed to have paid little heed to criticisms of his creation.
He proudly drove his 1967 Thunderbird around campus with a vanity license plate that read "BASIC."

... about DOS

-- How much money did Bill Gates pay to buy the disk operating system that he turned around and leased to IBM? - Quora
Bill Gates paid $50,000 to a company called Seattle Computer Products, for the exclusive rights to QDOS later known as 86-DOS, a CP/M clone.
He then renamed it as MS-DOS.
He then licensed MS-DOS to IBM for them to use in their soon to be released personal computer.
IBM renamed it PC-DOS when it was bundled with their PCs.
Importantly, IBM did not have an exclusive license to MS-DOS, so Microsoft was free to license the Operating System to anyone else who wanted it.
Considering the billions earned by Microsoft through the sale of MS-DOS to IBM clone producers, the $50,000 paid by Microsoft to Seattle Computer Products was one of the best investments ever made by any company.

First, a disclaimer: this won’t be a feel-good read.
In fact, what I’m about to reflect on is probably one of the saddest stories in computer history.
Few people know about Gary Kildall, though his contributions to the world of personal computers were invaluable.

Also, v2 rc1 is out with the full v2.0.0 on the way this year.

The so-called novice driver and parking service mode ensures that you can only drive at a maximum speed of 74 miles per hour for an annual price of 19 euros.

At BMW you can now book your steering wheel or seat heating as a subscription.
-For functions such as the heaters mentioned below, it is assumed that the required technology is already installed in the vehicle, but is blocked by the manufacturer.
No joke: The manufacturer has been offering various equipment and accessories for retrofitting since this week and also lists subscription prices in some cases.
The steering wheel heating, for example, can be activated for 10 euros a month and you have to invest 17 euros a month for heated seats for the driver and front passenger.
Alternatively, there is at least the possibility of permanent activation at a price of 385 euros.

for 150.-- Euro :
IconicSounds Sport makes driving even more intense and brings the characteristic sound of your BMW into the vehicle interior.

Mercedes is now taking subscription fees to an entirely new, maddening level.
For new Mercedes EQ electric models, customers will have to pay a $1,200 (plus tax) yearly subscription to unlock the full performance potential of their cars.
If you head to Mercedes' online store, you will find an "Acceleration Increase" subscription service for all EQ models.
According to Mercedes, the yearly fee increases the maximum horsepower and torque of the car, while also increasing overall performance.
Acceleration from 0-60 mph is said to improve by 0.8-1.0 seconds and the overall characteristics of the electric motors are supposed to change as well.
The extra performance is unlocked by selecting the Dynamic drive mode.

This subscription thing for cars is f##ked up. I hate everything about it. Also, what happens when the owner wants to sell the car in 10 or 15 years. Who wants to buy a used car that you have to pay an extra $50 to $150 a month just to keep it going?
