Those are nice with a rather jaunty feel, thanks. :)
Here's another salute to the big guy:

Another early one he arranged was Harrison's Only a Dream Away, although not a favourite tune of mine, the Syd Dale Amphonic Production label manages to siphon some of the excess out of the cheese.

Blast from the past. The original was released in 1985. This live version was performed 20 years later at Live 8 in Berlin.

Merry Festivus everyone!

Edit: And a happy NY, too! Leaning into this kind of stuff more and more as a result of approaching dotage. This is a classic, nevertheless!
Oopsy edit: The name in the youtube link was wrong- this was the correct name of the original:

Been getting into Peter_Schickele of late, so booked in for a copy of The Wurst of P.D.Q. Bach.
One of the favourites is Dog Asleep.
Here's a sample of the funnies:
Flight of the Tuba Bumblebee,
Grand Serenade for an Awful Lot of Winds and Percussion,
Octoot - For Wind Instruments (S.8) : Lent, Tout Au ,
"Unbegun" Symphony ("I was born too late to get a chance to write the first two movements"),
Pervertimento For Bagpipes, Bicycle And Balloons, S. 66,
The Abduction of Figaro, and

If you live in the United States, you've probably never heard of The Eurovision Song Contest but for Europe and the rest of the world, it's a huge deal. I only learned about it last year when I watched the Netflix movie EUROVISION SONG CONTEST: The Story Of Fire Saga starring Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams. It's a silly movie but you can learn a little about the yearly song contest and the movie has a lot of good music. Here is a trailer.

-- Eurovision viewers fuming over 'ignorant' Amanda Holden remarks at 2021 final - Birmingham Live
Amanda Holden has been slammed for her Eurovision appearance to deliver the votes for the UK during Saturday night's Grand Final.
The Britain's Got Talent judge has been branded arrogant and an embarrassment when she made a live appearance from London as the announcer of the jury points awarded by the United Kingdom.
She made viewers cringe when she addressed the Eurovision 2021 hosts by saying:
"Bon soir. Goedenavond. That is good evening in French and Dutch although I've got absolutely no idea which is which."
And the day after the Grand Final, viewers are still enraged by her remarks.

Something old , 'La violetera' , composed 1915
La Violetera was adapted by Charlie Chaplin for the soundtrack of City Lights (1931).

Good stuff. It's a reminder that good music has been around for thousands of years. When you said, "something old", I thought you meant something like Fleetwood Mac. :) ;)

A link to the single version just in case the guy grooving on the left doesn't suit to taste.
Bobos do Backwoods? Seems Backwoods have lifted their game in recent times, check out the Dark Stout, although banana smokers will despair of this recent discontinuation.
Never saw much of Backwoods cigarillos in our country, there were plenty of others of all ranges available here in the 70's & 80's. A favourite of an old friend of mine was the Clubmans. It was quite ubiquitous then, funny the only picture of it now via Google dates to the 40's-Image
