python and FindText()

Hi! Does anyone know if there is something like FindText() function but for python? I'm trying to avoid image search and ocr(tesseract). FindText is so genius and I used to use it a lot when i was working with ahk.
Tried to rewrite it in python, but I got stuck and can't see the way to do it.
