pAHKlight - Your Lightweight Guide to AHK libs+classes+tools

Post your working scripts, libraries and tools for AHK v1.1 and older

Where should the central database be located?

On GH - either ahkscript or other repository (at least several users with access) - offers some quality control (format of database)

Well, if you do remove it one day, remind me to save a zip file of it, because I like it, it's lightweight. :D

This looks like an awesome idea! I love AHK but there are so many things I don't know how to use (yet) - I didn't know there were libs to access GDI+ or to parse JSON and "YAML" (some new dialect of XML?). So to have access to a searchable resource like this would totally rock. I think it'd be great for intermediate-to-advanced users (like me) as well as for noobs. Anyway, just wanted to respond to the topic so you know you got one more guy interested :)

@joedf: Since you are working on this again recently - what would you say the current state of this project is?

Yes haha, I must say that production has been very slow...
The Local-Client is more or less nearing completion. The Network/Website still needs work but it does work. Actually, the whole is quite functional for some time now... Package submission and installation both work. It is mainly User Accounts/Registration and Package searching/database that needs to be worked on. :?

For those interested in pAHKlight + awesome-AutoHotkey - here is discussion on how to possibly integrate the two https://github.com/hi5/pAHKlight/issues

Has this been brought up and considered in the last two years? I envision it being like npm for NodeJS

I know.... I have aspdm set up too http://aspdm.ahkscript.org/
But I think the issue is setting a userdb or connect to autohotkey.com
I love pAHKlight because it is so much more lightweight, possibly this summer I could have this setup, talking to tank, hardening the php and whatnot

This repo...
https://github.com/ahkscript/ASPDM
Linked to this thread...

The project highlighted in that repo...

Is it still being actively worked on somewhere;
Or at least occasionally still discussed?

I'd say it's on pause. The server side needs work: setup logins w/ ahk forum, more efficiently organize and deliver packages. Client side could have a have console-based version...
But largely, it does work on both ends, but it hasn't been "plugged in" yet... so to speak.

I think the web side of things needs to be improved. It's not very "scalable" in its current state. :/
Likely, we do want a github-based backend.
I'll take volunteers, completely open-source... ;)

I look the look and feel of https://packagecontrol.io/ - https://packagecontrol.io/about (managed by python it seems https://github.com/wbond?tab=repositories ) - I don't think the graphs with installs and stats are required but I just like clean look - AutoHotkey example https://packagecontrol.io/packages/AutoHotkey
